Do this first
Use your phone at the counter. Tag pieces one at a time from the Cabinet desk. Spreadsheet import is a later desk tool, not required for the first tag.
First piece, in a quiet gap
- Tap Document one piece (or open Start tagging inventory then add). Sign in if asked.
- Add photos. Write the mark, maker, era, and condition you can stand behind. Skip guesses. Say if you own it or you are only recording it for the shop.
- Save as a public story when it is ready. An unpublished tag will not show the page when scanned.
- From the list, print the key. Ordinary paper or a label. Tape it on or near the piece.
- When it sells in the shop, Transfer moves the record with the object. You confirm it. We do not take the sale.
