1. Purpose

Establish a lean, defensible DMCA notice-and-takedown process for user-generated relic images, character images, weave threads, and associated metadata across the Vayati Constellation.

3. Covered Works

DMCA process applies to copyright claims regarding:

• Relic images (full, extra, certificate, veiled-tag)
• Character / avatar images
• Weave thread media and strand content
• Public marketing assets incorrectly attributed

On-chain Ordinals inscriptions: see §8 (Soul 10 + Soul 11 coordination).

4. Notice Requirements (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3))

A valid takedown notice must include:

1. Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed infringed
3. Identification of the infringing material and sufficient information to locate it (relic UUID, URL, weave thread ID)
4. Contact information of the complaining party
5. Good-faith statement that use is not authorized
6. Statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and complainant is authorized

Incomplete notices may be rejected with a request for supplementation.

5. Takedown Workflow

Technical path: Set relics.status = 'quarantined' or 'rejected'; exclude from public weave index; retain image_hash and audit per Privacy Policy.

6. Counter-Notice Process

Users may submit a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g) including:

• Identification of removed material and its prior location
• Good-faith statement that removal was mistaken or misidentified
• Consent to jurisdiction of federal court
• Physical or electronic signature

Upon valid counter-notice: Soul 11 notifies complainant; content may be restored after 10–14 business days unless complainant files court action.

7. Repeat Infringer Policy

Per Terms of Service and AUP:

• First substantiated infringement: warning + content removal
• Second within 12 months: account suspension (30 days minimum)
• Third or egregious: permanent termination

Soul 11 maintains repeat-infringer register. Keeper decree for edge cases.

8. Ordinals / On-Chain Permanence

DMCA takedown applies to platform-hosted copies. On-chain Ordinals inscriptions may be immutable once confirmed.

Mitigation (Soul 10 + Soul 11):

• Pre-inscription review gates where feasible
• Platform delisting and account action regardless of chain permanence
• Foresight red-team tracks permanence risk (see Misuse Foresight Memo)
